10 Essential Talent Acquisition Blogs

Talent Acquisition, Sourcing, Recruiting… there are different names to indicate one of the key activities that HR manages: the inflow of talent in the organisation. With this post, I’m following up on the series of Inspiration Sources that I follow on the various topics that interest me most. After Organisation Design, HR General Blogs and Leadership Blogs, here the list of blogs that I recommend and that focus on Recruiting. As usual, the order of the list is completely random.

Fistful of Talent is a collaborative blog led by Kris Dunn (also the author of the HR Capitalist) that focuses on general HR topics, but with specific attention on Recruiting and Talent Acquisition. It also portrays the HR Famous Podcast.

The Tim Sackett Project

The Tim Sackett Project is the blog of Tim Sackett, an experienced HR professional that focuses on general HR topics and recruiting. He considers his blog ‘his therapy’, but for sure provides good content along the way.

ERE – Recruiting Intelligence

ERE – Recruiting Intelligence

ERE – Recruiting Intelligence is one of the most active blogs on recruiting around the world. Led by Vadim Liberman, with a great team of specialist guest bloggers, it provides top content on skills development for recruiters, and a particular focus on the hiring process. This blog is sister to SourceCon (see below).

SourceCon – Sourcing Knowledge

SourceCon – Sourcing Knowledge is a sister site to ERE (see above), and focuses specifically on Sourcing. Managed by Mark Tortorici, also this blog provides great content from multiple authors, with a great focus on social sourcing and search techniques. Many of the posts focus on sourcing for technical talent roles, providing a great resource for those Talent Acquisition experts who are tackling specific talents for the first time.

The blog from job posting aggregator Indeed is surprisingly full of relevant content for Recruiters, not necessarily just those using their services. Compared to other platform’s blogs, the quality of content is typically higher, with several guest bloggers and very good food for thought. Especially useful the many posts based on the platform’s huge amounts of data.
